Stage Manager
Hello
Here's who I am & what I do
My name is Erin Galvin and I recently graduated from Ohio University with a BFA in Stage Management in April of 2022. I am originally from New Jersey where I attended a performing arts high school and found a great love in stage management. While attending Ohio University, I mostly worked with new play development, working closely with playwrights. I have worked with Tantrum Theatre, Vibrancy Theater Company, Lyric Repertory Company and others. I am currently working at Lyric Repertory Company in Logan, Utah as an AEA Stage Manager for their 2023 summer season stage managing Twelfth Night and Break It Down, a new work. I have done a number of shows that have helped me become a better stage manager and I am eager to learn more about my craft.

Philosophy

As a stage manager, I see myself as a collaborator and artist within this process that includes listening, communicating, and leading. Theatre and art should be fun, and I am fond of doing the little things that make this process enjoyable for all. I enjoy taking the time to get to know each and every person involved in a production and aim to make the rehearsal room feel inclusive and welcoming for all involved. This includes accepting and making mistakes. Mistakes are we how we learn and I welcome them with open arms. When walking into a rehearsal room, I leave perfectionism at the door, and accept the fact that I am still learning and growing as a stage manager.
